New Years Day

By | January 1, 2012

Our hope for the New Year are high.

As the excitement of yesterday evening’s festivities begins to recede, it seems fitting to look at our hopes and plans for the New Year just begun. We hope to build on the successes of the year now past, by introducing our third yoga class in Burbank and our first such class in the West San Fernando Valley. We also hope to spread the word about the mainstream therapeutic effects of yoga to other area physicians. Dr. Schlesinger has planned to start a private yoga class on Mondays during the lunch hour and will invite some of his friends to join him from time to time.

In the coming year we at Schlesinger Pain Centers hope to build on the relationships we have developed with a number of the best Oncology groups in the area. Our goal is that in 2012 no cancer patient will suffer unnecessary chronic pain. We plan to increase awareness of modern cancer pain therapies through hospital tumor boards, continuing medical education lectures and through lectures aimed directly at the patients themselves.

But perhaps the most important goal for the New Year is to do a better job listening to you our patients. We hope through increased patient feedback to do a better job of providing the kind of care and services that you want, rather than simply what we think that you should have. To that end I encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, to send us comments on our website and if you prefer leave an anonymous note at the front desk. It matters not the form of the comment, only that it is adequately addressed. I wish you all a happy New Year and look forward to seeing you in the office.
