That the Internet has changed the practice of medicine is obvious. The real challenge is to understand these changes and use the power of the net efficiently and constructively.

In this series of articles we will examine the use of the Internet in the delivery and consumption of medical care from chronic pain management to blood pressure management. Some of the uses will be obvious, others a little less so. What will become clear is that the Internet has profoundly affected nearly every aspect of medical care in this country and around the world.
