One of the best ways to judge the quality of a pain clinic is to look at the ways that it does the things that it does not do. While this may at first seem like an oxymoron, it actually describes an important practical and philosophical point common to all businesses and organizations, not just pain clinics. No one can do everything. No organization can have a product line, which is absolutely complete. The question is, how do you handle the gaps in your product or service line. Do you pretend that they don’t exist and leave the customer to fend for himself? I think not.

At Schlesinger Pain Centers we know that even the best pain clinic in Los Angeles can only successfully treat about 50% of the patients in isolation. We understand that in fact more than half of our patients will need at least a surgical consultation. Furthermore we know that our patients have no way to differentiate the honest and skillful surgeons from their less reputable counterparts. They trust us to help them make these decisions and we view this as part of our responsibility to look after their overall welfare.
