The most common condition we see at Schlesinger Pain Centers is lumbar radiculopathy, which is defined as an abnormality in the function (either sensory or motor) of one or more lumbar nerve roots. The cause of this derangement is usually direct compression but can also be due to chemical irritation. The site of the irritation and the structures involved will give each disease process its own unique symptomatology and treatment.
